IEC 61131-3 defines 6 5 programming languages:

• - Instruction List (IL)
• - Sequential Function Chart (SFC)

In Siemens they are respectively:

• - Ladder Logic (LAD)
• - Function Block Diagram (FBD)
• - Structured Control Language (SCL)
• - Statement List (STL)
• - Grafcet (GRAPH)
