SINAMICS Rotary Knife/Cross Cutter

if you want to use a S120 drive system, I would recommend to use the application example "S120 Crosscutter with DCB Extension".

For this kind of crosscutter, you need a S120 drive and a runtime license called DCB Extension.

There is also a SIMATIC block for the application, that can be used with a S71200/1500 PLC.

This block is used as a control of the drive and also to control the crosscutter functionalities.

With the ready to use block you can for example switch on the drive, enable the cutting operation and start the cutting process.

You can create then an HMI on your own to trigger the inputs of this ready to use function block.

You can find more information in the manual of the crosscutter, there are also some basic information of crosscutters available. The manual can be found in the link that I attached above.

the actual DCB cross cutter application requires the version V5.1 of the library, due to some new blocks.

Why do you need the V4.8 of it?

We recommend using Firmware V5.1 and the actual versions of library and application.

Note: 'TPGMC_SINAMICS_4_8.4.1 V4.80.4.1' is not longer available as download, but if there is a reasonable cause, we can sent it per e-mail. In this case, please send us your motivation to use V4.8  in an e-mail or a PN with your e-mail adress.
