yes it is also possible to have two CPs in one rack and these CPs are connected to different clients. But then it won't be a redundant communication, isn't it? In that case you should use ModbusTCP for NCM CP 2XV9 450-1MB00.

Please help me on choosing module and license for the configuration in attached picture.

Required: Modbus TCP redundancy

In my system:

- Client side: Hot/Standby CPU system (not Siemens product), the master and slave CPU will swap IP address when master switch over. Each CPU using two Ethernet channels (with different subnet .1, .2).

- Server side: I am going to use two CP343-1 for Modbus redundancy, but each CP will connect to one HUB. Data received from client will be transfer to Siemens IO module to control actuators.

My questions:

1. Can I use two CP for redundancy connect to Master (CPUA or B) via two different HUBs, and with different subnet (with the license: 6AV6676-6MB30-3AX0)

2. If the answer is NO:

- Will I have to write logic on Siemens CPU myseft to select which channel (P or Q, CP1 or CP2) to communicate?

- And in this case, the license will be 2XV9450-1MB00, that's right?
