Hello,

This is my very first time programming a Siemens HMI's (MP277) and I really need your help.

I programmed/Designed a project in WINCC (TIA PORTAL), I integrated my Step 7 PLC (S7-300, CP 314) project in TIA PORTAL through proxy conection  and I made the variable asignation.

It is working OK in TIA PORTAL simulation mode, But when I conect the HMI with CP314 using this cable https://www.industry.siemens.com/topics/aan/es/hotline/Documents/1/1007.pdf, it does not work, HMI is not reading or writing any variable to or from PLC.

I downloaded the project to HMI by ethernet. I downloaded nothing to PLC.

My Questions are:

1)  Am I using the right Cable?

2)  I need download Some thing to PLC?

3 ) The  PLC port in HMI is configured as DP/MPI/PPI, Is it OK?

Hello INGELM,

You have made a connection in MP277. Can you tell us what you have programmed? (Screenshot)

Do you want to communicate using the MPI protocol?

It does not hurt to download a program to CPU.

I programmed 9 screen to monitoring and control to Waste Water Plant process.

The problem was the MPI cable was defective, so I get another cable.
