Once I upgraded the 400H system with new model of MODBUS CPs, it means I will not be able to revert back?

Dear Technical Experts.

With reference to the previous discussion regarding existing library MODB4H does not support hot standby so we have procured new license (MODBUS TCP RED) with upgraded models as below:

1. How long it will take to get a license from Siemens once the request has been submitted as defined in procedure:

2. In chapter -5 of the same document, it is mentioned that

"Note

With an S7 H station only the CPU in rack 0 is licensed. For this reason, replacing the CPU from rack 0 after the licensing is no longer possible."

In case, once I upgraded the 400H system with new model of MODBUS CPs, it means I will not be able to revert back?. Actually to be on safe side, since this modification involves the running plant so operation department always ask for backup / revert back plan. So how it will be possible to revert back to old condition (in case of any problem) once the new license will be moved to CPU / CP.

One quick question:

Can I install two CPs in redundant confirguration in each 400H redundant chassis.

What I am thinking is to add new CP (6GK7443-1EX30-0XE0) and configure its blocks (to get the ident code) alongwith already existing hardware (6GK7443-1EX20-0XE0) in 400-H chassis until I get the license from Siemens.

The purpose is to keep runing the system with old configuration until I get the new license key from siemens for Modbus TCP red. Once I will get the new key I will remove the old CP and its relevant blocks / DBs.

Is this configuration viable.
