The PCU50 has been cancelled - see http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/25907766 The original PCU50.3 did not have any serial ports. Siemens just announced that they will include one serial port on all PCU50.3s - see http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/29351390 If you need another you'll need to add a PCI card (Siemens has one) or use a USB to RS232 adapter. Not familiar with the OP-17. There are a range of current operator panels from OP-08 to OP-15 - pick your size. OEM custom screens covers a lot of options. If it is a "wizard" screen, it may still work. Anything else (easymask, transline, pro-tools, wincc, HMI programming) will probably need to be re-done, but you might get lucky. PCU50's run WInXP now and don't officially support 16 bit Windows apps. HTH, SteveA |
