Hi, I am trying to read analog input data from sensors through SIMATIC device, but the highest sampling rate that I got is 1.3kHz. SIMATIC is based on Arduino and by right Arduino can easily go to much higher frequencies (I need at least 10kHz). Normally, we can change the settings of the clock registers as explained here: http://yaab-arduino.blogspot.com/2015/02/fast-sampling-from-analog-input.html But it seems that this does not work with Simatic and the registers are recognized. Are the registers names different for Simatic and does anyone know how to fix this? I could not find any explanation in the technical reports provided for Simatic. Many thanks in advance for your help. |

Hi, the sampling rate of the analog input is constrained by the SPI and by a "0.15nF capacitor in series with a 5K resistor which gives a time constant of 0.75ms". And these 0.75ms equals 1,3kHz you can achieve. This information for the Intel Galileo2 is also valid for the IOT2000 Best regards! |
