I am working on a prgram in ladder

I need to set an individual bit that is located in a word that is inside a global DB

Using a coil or S (soil) it will not allow me to have access to the bit level.I already turned off the DB optimization

I am inside my main just for testing

The bit of the word im trying to access is located in a global db 

it looks like this

Global_DB

                             inside a structure

                                                                     lives a word

                                                                                              lives a bit

It will not compile

You have not filled out the complete tag name yet. You are up to the structure. You need to call the WORD tag #41000 also.

Try something simpler first for your trial and get a feel for what up can get.

 still wouldnt work with the structure added, sorry i had a typo in the last picture

i also tried this

per your picture

I showed you the format only. 

So instead of the # character fill in what you had first.

format: "dbname".structure.structure.word.%X0
(so many structures as you need)

Other method that might help:

1. click the line where the tag is in your DB.

2. click-drag the line onto the coil.

3. there will be an error... no problem: fill the bit designation "%X number" in at the end.

 The # character is for locally defined tags. That is not what this is.

Global tags are enclosed by " quotes.
