MP277 8 touch, hang at the boot loader

halimon.mohd Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hi there, Well I have a problem with the MP277 8 touch , the power was cut off during the software installation as a result this unit hang at the boot loader during start up, I try many way do a OS update but I couldn't get a connection with this unit, these all the step I had been using to get connected to the MP277 8 touch1.Ping the unit using a dos: status no go : the messae came with the hardware error. 2.Set the PG interface via Simatic by using ehternet, Icannot see the MP277 from the accessible nodes. Set the PG interface via Simatic by using MPI cable , status no go : no respond from the divice. 3.I checked at the communication port (LAN) at the MP277 no light blinking. Is there another way to solve this problem I believe the OSfor this unit is coruppted, I just need to get online connected then I can do an OS UPDATE. Hope to get some feedback from the expert out there .. thanks in advance

halimon.mohd Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hi wizard thanks for the quick respond, yes I agree that I need to do an reset to the factory setting or OS upadate via wincc flexible but the main problem here is the communication between my PG and MP277is failed, I not be able to establish the connectionbetween my PG and MP277. I Cannot go trough to the window since it hang at the boot loader.

Wizard Diamond Expert Joined: 4/24/2006 Last visit: 12/24/2025 Posts: 9097 Rating: (1202)	Dear halimon.mohd, The option "Reset to factory settings" is only possible, when you use the RS232/PPI multi master cable. If you select the option, you will have to boot the panel. (The panel does not have to be in transfer mode) This is the only possibility to get the panel working again. Best regards, Wizard

I can't use a normal inthernet communication cable toget the connection, Imay need that type of cable to the connection .. well I found something to share with all of you USB Host-to-Host cables Ordering options for USB host-to-host cables are available in Entry ID: 19142034.
