Well, i have a CNC system sinumerik 802d, 

for one of the servo motor in the system - 3p - 1FK7042-5AF71-1FA0, the encoder signal cable [green coloured] got damaged, it got cut into 2 part during shifting of the machine,

i talked to the concerned siemens system houses here, but the delievery time is too high around 7-8 weeks, and i cant afford loosing the production till so long. My question is can we solder it and use it again, until we order and get a new one. in an accurate way, though we havnt tried it yet,

if yes can anyone tell me how will i solder it, as it got 5-6 same coloured[white] wires, along with other coloured wires.

well the controller is 802D SL,

the cable part number is  6XF-5002-2DC10-1AH0,

I tried to make a new cable with the basic profinet connectors, as per the cable details u gave.

please see in the attachement , the error coming up.

i dont hav much idea what to do now?

Well yes, its the same Drive Y1, for which i modified the cable.

The encoder signal cable is connected directly on to the drive.

Ok , i try to make a new fresh cable again, and then let you know if its working or not.

Is it the same drive i.e. Y1 of which cable you modified? How this cable is connected to SMC or to drive?

If it is the same drive, then it is not proper, please check the alarms which are related with drive CLiQ.

Is this absolute encoder? Please try by conducting drive/module identification once again.

Yes you were right, the connection i made was not accurate.

after working it out properly and doing a proper check, atlast my thing works.

the signal cable connector u sent to me , is working perfectly fine.

Hello,

Before proceeding, please confirm below points.

Encoder cable one end is connected to 611U EHR control card connector X411 or 412, another end is connected to motor encoder. (As per your MLFB number)

Please refer the attached sheet for connection layout details, please check the rear & front pin numbers carefully while connection.

Basically encoder signal cables never performs efficiently when soldered or joined. Just have a try & best luck.

I want to know one more thing regarding the same signal cable for 802dsl.

 About the connection diag. that u attached,is it that a normal rj45 profinet connector that we generally use?

or is it a different connector that the normal profinet rj45?

coz i dont see the 2 connecting pins at the back side of the normal profinet connector , which we have to connect to   A to A, B to B [according to the pic u attached].

how can i order only the connector part? i mean any part number for this particular connector???

So overall , if i want , i can order for the profinet rj45 connector plug[4X2].

and please confirm its the same connector for the signal cable, used in SINUMERIK 802D SL, in my case  [6XF-5002-2DC10-1AH0  cable]

i attach the pic of the rj45 connector in my case what i want to confirm  ,for cross checking,  the reverse/back  side of the connector [the two pins A and B ].

please confirm.
