I dont require auto switch over (Hot standby), say if one connection goes down then other CP becomes modbus server only when a button is pressed on HMI. Regards, Manmeet.

Regards, Kaulquappe I had a short look at the referenced link. There you can find the information "S7-400 H station or S7-300/400 station with 2 CPs to third-party devices". But you have to read carfully

Is this configuration alowed? All communication is through Open modbus TCP.

Kaulquappe Posts: 3093 Rating: (323)	Hello Manmeet, yes it is also possible to have two CPs in one rack and these CPs are connected to different clients. But then it won't be a redundant communication, isn't it? In that case you should use ModbusTCP for NCM CP 2XV9 450-1MB00. Regards, Kaulquappe
