at a 400V line, a converter can only reach a output voltage from 380V (for example, depends on the modulation type, ...).
So if you have a output current from 10A converter --> motor (without losses at a cos PHI = 1 ,you would get 380V * 10A = 3800W - on the line this would be a current of 3800W/400V = 9,5A).

Further a standard asynchronous motor has a reactive current, which would not be seen on the line side. The reactive current on the line side is because of the line reactor for example.
