Hi, I have a plc connected to a net gear AP which in turn is connected wirelessly to a net gear wireless router, my laptop is connected wireleesly to the router. I can view the web server of the 1200 without any problems but when I use TIA portal to view accessible items it cannot find the PLC. I have had this working previously with another make of router, but needed to increase the range hence the change to another router. You may ask why I want to do this and the answer is, for system testing I use an iPad with a custom SCADA program running which allows me freedom and mobility to test and commission systems in our workshop.Any help with this would be great.

I've got my ip addresses set at 192.168.1.10 for the plc and 192.168.1.100 for my laptop I've tried using a static address on the laptop as well as dynamic issued from the router but doesn't seem to make a difference. What I think Im going to try is rebooting the plc and router as this seemed to work for somebody else I was reading about. Thanks for you input.

The Ethernet frame used in LLDP has its destination MAC address typically set to a special multicast address that 802.1D-compliant bridges do not forward

This is not about IPs or Ports.

Accessible nodes is layer 2 (LLDP), so the MAC broadcast does not make it behind the AP. (Still you can access the webserver, which is layer 3)

Maybe you're better off asking netgear about this one.

 Is it possible to enable MAC broadcast through AP? Or it depends on router?
