Hello MNM, I'm not sure what that error stands for, but you may want to check:
2. Check the binding order of your NIC(s) to make sure the Ethernet adapter that NIM32 would use is listed first. 3. Make sure you don't have any IP address conflicts on your network. |

One other thought... If using a Window 2000 operating system, you must be running at least ProcessSuite 3.01, SP-B. Due to installation issues, the MBUS driver must be installed manually from the SP-B cd. Go to Device Manager - Network Adapters - M-BUS/M-Net PCI Adapters, then double click, select Driver Tab and click on "Upgrade driver". Point it to SP-B cd\drivers\mbus\w2k\ and select MBUS PROT. |

The tcp\ip port conflict is a clue. NIM32 uses port 2000 exclusively, perhaps you have another piece of software that is also using port 2000...you can not change NIM32's port but perhaps you could change the other software. To see what SW is using what port, go to c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\services (open with Notepad). Hope this leads you in the right direction...let me know. RJP |

Hi RJP i already check the port setting and no conflict, may be not a port conflict, but other kind of conflicts, i do not know actully, i think shoud the event error ID be recorded by the vendor! regards, MNM |

Based on what I see in your event log, the conflict appears to be with either: TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper Service DHCP Client, AFD Networking Support Environment

Dear RJP i found that the AFD networking support driver has a problem in the driver as the AFD.sys file is missed, so now i think this is the problem, i will restore that file and restart the station. if the problem still exist i will repair the windows and reinstall the APACS+ software, upon i do i will inform you, thanks for your support, best regards, MNM |

Have similar problem: Win2K Server, InSQL7;after adding IEM device to the APACS IO list Nim32 service do not start, deleting IEM gives nothing, more over APACS IO now doesnt see controller by mbus card, i mean we cant take values of tags from controller by mbus card P.S. is the loopback adapter realy needed, isnt it for only stand alone systems? |
