Build S7 connection between S7 300 and CM1242-5

Hello everyone,

How we could build S7 connection between S7 300 and CM1242-5? which FBs I have to use for data exchange and how should I program? 

Since I don't know how to build S7 connection with CM1242-5, I could not use PUT/GET FBs.

My configuration: S7 313C 2DP on step7 v5.5 , S7 1214C with CM1242-5 on TIA

also I don't think that S7 connection can be realised via CM1242-5, only via CPU Profinet port. Hope I don't mistake this...

My problem was solved.

We do not need S7 connection for CM-1242-5. We can directly use transfer area addresses to communicate with master.

Hello,

ok, but this solution Daniel sugested to you in his post, use of Profibus DP connection. Therefore I gave also info about no possibilities use S7 with CM1242-5. Simply you can't use S7 connection in your situation only PB DP solution.
