Keep it simple guys if NewTechwants toonly copy a String from one DB to another, all he has tois use SFC 20 "BLKMOV" and assign the correct parameters. In NewTechexample screendump, the soruce String is in DB126,starts at Byte address 18 and is 18 Bytes long (16 characters plus 2 bytes header). Using "DB126.DBB50" for theSCRBLK parameter of SFC 20 as shown in hisscreendump is obviously wrong, butusing P#DB126.DBX18.0 BYTE 18 will work (or he uses symbolic declaration right away which is "DB_name".String_name). The same needs to be done for the DSTBLK parameter of SFC 20, but this is where NewTech'sexamplestarst to confuse me sincethe destination is the Instance DB location of an IN Parameter of an FB, so I'm really not too sure what exactly he wants to do (why not simply assign the source string to the call of the FB?). |
