Hi Mahesh, You can create a new multiproject (always use multiproject, rather than project) by selecting the PCS7 Multiproject wizard. In there you can just follow directions by selecting the CPU with or without additional communication modules like CP443-1 or CP443-5. In the next section, you can select if you want a PC station OS or batch to be inserted. When you do this, a PC station is added to the project. You can also add an SFC or/and CFC chart Personally, I always do not use this step (uncheck everything). When your multiproject is created, a project with the AS is inserted. I suggest you will create several projects in your multiproject. To give you an overview: Multiproject -------Project 1: AS -------Project 2: OS (Servers) -------Project 3: CL (Clients) -------Project 4: ES (Engineering station) The advantage is that there are several projects created, which you can remove for editing. What you must do is to merge connections, by connecting the plant bus of all individual projects in a later step (Netpro). To create new projects in the multiproject, select the multiproject->right click->Multiproject->Create into multiproject. This way, you can insert a new project. To insert a PC station like ES/OS or OS or Client, right click in the project (right side) and insert a PC station. You can then set the hardware configuration whether a WinCC Appl. is needed or a WinCC Client. For the ES, you can insert a WinCC application. Also insert the used communication module like IE-General (Default network card) or CP1623/CP1628 module. Select save+compile and your WinCC application is being generated (takes a long time!). Next, a master library can be inserted in the multiproject. When you insert an library, it has a green color. You can right click the library and select: "Set as master library". The color will change to blue, indicating this is your master (Only one master library is allowed per multiproject). What you can do next is select File->Open->Libraries->APL Library v8.x. When this library is opened, you can go to component view and select the "Blocks" folder. Copy all blocks and paste them into your master library, also under "Blocks" folder. Next, you go to plant view of the APL library and select the Process Tag Types folder. Copy all the objects and paste them into your multiproject on the plant view of the master library. The APL library is now available in your project. There are a lot more steps to be taken, but I think this provides a good starting point. |

Are you meaning difference between a multiproject and a normal project with all stations in it? If so please see below my answer, if not....then it is just extra information For PCS7 projects it is recommended to use a multiproject. With a multiproject, you can use a master library which basically features blocks of the current PCS7 version with custom blocks (SCL sources) and process tag tags and/or control modules, models, shared declarations and more. You master library can feature also modifications on the already standard APL/Non APL blocks. For instance, you can change a parameter with a new attribute like S7_contact, so it will be used as block contact in SFC types. It is then advisable to only use blocks from this library, because these blocks are not changed during a new install of upgrade of PCS7. You can distribute this master library to all your projects, so every multiproject features the same library. With multiprojects, you can also use multiuser engineering, so multiple users can engineer at the same time. Since v8.1, it is also possible to multi engineer the OS system, so it becomes better and better. Another advantage of the multiproject is that you can use several projects in a multiproject. So in some cases, you can remove a project from the multiproject for instance project B with an AS, so another engineer can proceed with engineering. Furthermore, several AS projects can be combined into one complete system, so if you have three AS systems, it is possible to show this on one OS server. |
