The PLC is slow. Unless quick reaction is not something you need. My cases have the analog output of the AC motor connected to the analog input of the servo motor. With digital signals you can select that the servo uses its own analog input as speed setpoint or use pulsing from the PLC. You can even have a relay select between analog from AC drive or PLC to go to the servo. i am sure that the encoder power supply is +24VDC. And the output is the common one: in quadrature. I am almost sure those two encoders will works as spected.

Hello Walter, you should be able to do what you want to do. But now we both have a problem: Perhaps look at all the configuration settings - make sure there are no "gating" mechanisms blocking operation. Do mention next time how you are using the HSC. For "period" measurement, for example, %ID1000 does not work. "period"measurement also has a maximum value it can measure - perhaps around 2sec.
