I do not think the webserver and webclient can be the same pc. |

Hello. Thank you for your answer. Yes, I have checked all this FAQ's, but no luck. That's why I asked in this forum. Maybe I should clarify little more: I have a PC with Win7 and WinCC RC, RT and WebNavigator Server installed on it. The WinCC version is 7.0 SP3 HF4. When I run the project (RT) and connect to the WebNavigator with Internet Explorer on that PC, everything is working fine. I can login, see/navigate all my pictures, change the values in setting for the maschine, see all alarms,... Because this PC is 1000 km away from our office, the IT department from that company give us remote access (VPN) to the PLC S7-300 and that WinCC PC. On that PC I have installed DameWare Mini Remote Control 7.5.8.0, so I can connect to the WinCC PC and make changes in the project, if they are required. I can connect remotelly to the WinCC PC from my PC in my office with Dameware with no problem. I can make the changes, as I would be sitting in front of the WinCC PC. But when I try to connect with my Internet Explorer on my PC to the WebNavigator on that WinCC PC, first I get login window, I put the user and password in, and then I get "This is no DataMonitor Server - please update the DataMonitor client from a CD". (see the attachements pictures) I have tried to deinstall WebNavigator client from my PC and installed again, but no difference. I also installed DataMonitor client on my PC, but no luck. I must also say, that I have remote (VPN) access to three other WinCC PC's (one in Dubai, one here, in Slovenia, one in Croatia), and I have no problem to connect to them over WebNavigator with my PC and my IE9.(you can see the IP's of the Recent Servers in the pictures) The only difference is, that all other WinCC's are older versions (V7.0 SP1, v7.0 SP2). Only this one is v7.0 SP3 with HF4. Yeah, and also VPN access is different on every company. In Dubai and Croatia we have access over Cisco VPN client, in Slovenia we have GlobalProtect VPN client (PaloAlto) and to the latest company we have NetworkConnect v7.1.0 VPN client from Juniper Networks. All this clients and instructions, how to connect, we get from IT departments from this companies. AttachmentWebNavigatorError.zip (130 Downloads) |

Hello ZXC-SLO, if you think reason for your problem has got to do with used version of WinCC you should contact Siemens Technical Support and describe your problem. Best regards Bizur |

Hello. Thank you for your answer. I have tried one last thing: I deleted/uninstaled IE from my PC, delete all caches, coockies, temp files, cleaned registry,... Then I instaled IE (v9) again. When I connected to the remote PC with WebNavigator, I had to installed webNavigator client again, and then... voila... pictures showed. Now everything is working. I think, Billy (Gates) had something to do with it... Regards from sLOVEnia |
