Hello Lucas; Could you tell us more about your 3rd-party Profibus master? Is it a DPV1 master (you cannot request extended diagnostics without a DPV1 master? The MM4 gsd shows it will responmd as a DPV1 slave (you can open it with Notepad). http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/6567719 So, if you have a DPV1 master, what functions does it have to read acyclic data from a DPV1 slave? In Siemens S7classic, you would use SFB 52 "RDREC" (Reading a Data Record) and SFB53 "WRREC" (Writing a Data Record), function blocks designed for DPV1 access. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello Lucas; It seems that the implementation of extended diagnostics in the DPV1 frames for the Micromaster drives have been omitted. You should be able to read up to 240 bytes of the PKW area (parameter values) of the drive through DPV1, but you would need to know which parameter contains information on the drive diagnostics for this to be useful.
