Hello Autokabyl; Based on the document you provided, it seems the POSI version of your valve actuator will take different positions based on the analog signal you produce. The actuator works linearly, and will remain in its last position upon loss of power or control signal. For a 4-20 mA control signal from your analog output module, - at 20 mA the valve will open fully (100%) - at 12 mA, the valve will open/close to 50% open - at 0 mA, the valve will move to a fully closed position (0%). - for other values of the control signal the valve will place itself at a position corresponding to the value of the control signal. So, you must learn to use the NORM_X and SCALE_X instructions to configure your analog output to provide a signal of 0-100% (engineering values)-> 4-20mA (current output) -> 0-27648 (for native analog output numeric values), as Huggy_DI suggested earlier. Use the Step 7 online help to get the basic information on these functions, and study Example 2 in the following document to see how to get a 4-20 mA control output to your valve actuator.
