Greetings all, Im working on a panel, where it should be possible for the operator to view values from the PLC in both SI & USC units (Length, speed, pressure etc.) And for this I have tried comming up with a smart solution for handling this on a sort of array base. For starters I found the example program provided on the Industry Online, with a faceplate containing a script, and used this for developing. But as time went by, the amount of tags that I need to keep track of was just crazy (100+). So I thought of making this code in the PLC as an FC containing a "For x to x, do", and then point out an area of a DB designated to this area in the Panel. But then disapointment struck, when I realized I still have to link every single Faceplate to the DB tag and Index, whilest also in the PLC I have to specify the ingoing tag to this FC for calculating. Every mathematical operation is done with SI units in the PLC, so I "Just" need a mirrored view of these tags converted in to USC units, and with the possibility to view both on the panel/change, depending on I, O or I/O box. So quesion is, has anyone tried something similar, or has a suggestion how to bypass this easily? Attacted is the FC im using for this.
