Hello. I'm using the TM Pulse as distributed I/O with IM151-6PN ST, the CPU is 1512SP-1PN. I Have some doubts. I can't figure it out if the problem with proportional valve comes from the configuration, software or the hardware. I'd like to use the TM Pulse as the frequency output with two valves valve Burkert 6223. The regulation of the valve as it's written on the valve should be between 100 and 280 hz. I set up the TM Pulse for two chanell operation. When i set up the value of the output frequency I can't find the reference between the frequency and the opening of the valve. It should be proportional, but when I enable the output the valve is closed when the frequency is rised it remains closed then opens rapidly to around 70% of the maximum flow, when I rise up the frequency the flow reamins the same until reaching the point when valve opens fully. For now i don't have the tools to measure the real frequency on the output. Any suggestion's ? Do I have to use the isochronus mode to get the proper frequency on the output ? If necessary I can move the output module to the main panel where the CPU is situated, but in such a condition wchich type of OB i should use to operate the output ? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

How do you control the output frequency? There is nothing about that in your screenshots. |

Hello Sliwka, I suggest you to select Pulse width modulation PWM inside hardware configuration of your module. You control the pulse width duty cycle with the control interface field OUTPUT_VALUE. It determines the duty cycle (pulse duration/period duration) for PWM. Period duration in your example should be at least 14.3ms (70Hz). Whole starting sequence and usage has been explain over there ET200SP TM TO What is important that you don't need to use cycle interrupt to produce fast PWM. There is TM module that works that for you, yo ucan just set to it specific frequency or OUTPUT_VALUE(pulse duration/period duration). These values you can set from OB1, and TM will do it fast for you. What I suggest you is to separate TM module configuration out of proportional valve control problem. First set 1 Hz to the TM Pulse module, and check whether TM output is switching or working with 1 sec on and 1 sec off. Once that has been configured than you can set gigher frequencies and start controlling your valve. Best Regards Soble |
