Hello Simone; A TIG welder is a known generator of interference in communication circuits. Can you find any correspondance of the network failures with the functioning of the welders in your shop? Are the failures more frequent when the welders are working? As mentionned by quazee earlier, you should check if power cables (to the welders, for example) are near or parallel to the conduits the Profibus network cables pass through, this can be a cause for loss of communications. You should also make sure earth and ground connections on your cabinets follows the recommendations of PI (Profibus International) as described in their documentation:: https://www.profibus.com/download/functional-earthing-and-shielding/ Check out the Downloads section of the Profibus.com site, you will find many installation, maintenance and troubleshooting guides for Profibus and Profinet networks. These could eventually be useful for you in your plant. In an English version of the software, in the diagnostic buffer page, there is a button that shows "Save As.." that you can use to generate a text file containing all messages from the diagnistic buffer with collected details on each message. You should try to use this button and attach the diagnostic text file here on the forum, that way we can look at it and see it we can help you find a cause of the network failure.
