changing screens by PLC control

After a lot of configuration, noting high byte / low byte, and area pointer, and mapping DBs between PLC & HMI, I can see what screen is currently displayed. I cannot however send a job to change screens. Is this functional or am I not going to get it to work? I can get around it, but I'd rather be able to jump screens under PLC control rather than scripting it... Splitted from S7 1200 HMI with Wincc Advance 2008.

Denilson Pegaia Diamond Expert Joined: 9/23/2005 Last visit: 12/26/2025 Posts: 4434 Rating: (1487)	Hi, That I know, you can configure the area pointer and use Job 51 to change screens, like Protool / WinCC flexible (i don't remember if I have already tested it),however I would better take it as simple way: create a bool variable (trigger) and a integer variable (screen number) in PLC/HMI. In HMI set both as "read continous" mode. on event change of the bool variable, set a functions change screen by number and use the second variable as parameter.
