Communicate S7-400 and S7-1200 using GET and PUT functions

Hi Everybody!

I'm trying to communicate S7-400 (CPU412-5H PN/DP) and S7-1200 (CPU1214C DC/DC/DC) using GET and PUT functions. I wrote the same functions for both of them. but I get error 1 in S7-400 and nothing transmitted. I also read manuals and forum conversations but I can't find where the problem is. 

I used SIMATIC S7-v5.5 for CPU400 and TIA Portal v13 for S7-1200.

I created DB for both and addressed them.

I used IP address 192.168.0.1 for CPU400 and 192.168.0.2  for CPU1200.

I also enabled PUT/GET permition connection in S7-1200.

I used the same ID address for CPUs.

Hi everybody!

Fortunately I successfully established the connection and I can send and receive data.

I had two problems:

1 I should defined array in DBs

2 I used wrong DB pointer for ADDR_1, RD_1 and SD_1

 But now something is strange to me. In TIA portal I can see the 25 status means "Communication has started. The job is being processed" but in S7-v5.5 the status is always 1 means communication problem. 

How data communicates while there is an error??

You have to configure PUT and GET blocks online at one side!

So remove from (i excep v5.5) and it will still work

Thanks for your help. I didn't realized that one. 

I removed program blocks from S7-v5.5 and everything did well. 

But actually I need to program through S7-v5.5. I removed program blocks from TIA but still the same error status 1 came and I can't communicate any data. Whats the problem with S7-v5.5??

with CM1242-5 you can´t communicate with PUT/GET.

CM1242-5 is a Profibus SLAVE module. With this module you can configure your S7-1200 as slave and communicate over Inputs and Outputs.

For communication with PUT/GET you need a Master-Module.

Problem solved.

I replaced FB14 and FB15 with SFB14 and SFB15 then everything went well, so I can send and receive data from s7-v5.5.

I think GET PUT block error is because of frame size of data

Can you plz send me the back of the same?. I also using the similar kind of system. S7-414-5H with S-1200. I need some data when needs to be read in S7-400H in fault tolerant mode. Can you please tell us how to do it. And more over i need to use GET PUT instructions only on S7-400H Side.
