Our customer has a system with 3 drives working with absolute motor encoders. They want to install an absolute linear encoder for each drive. I´m trying to configure a DDS0 (existing) for motor encoder and DDS1 (new) for linear encoder. The positioning commands come from a PLC by Profibus DP, so I want to keep the scale, if possible. The linear encoder is BTL7-S512BM5550-P-S115, 24bits, Gray code, resolution 5 µm, range 5550mm, output SSI, conector M12 8 poles. Attached my Scout configuration for linear encoder, mechanics of working motor encoder and mechanics of new linear encoder. It seems to be a wrong configuration, because it doesn´t work propperly. Hello, in first example 28000 LU = 1 load revolution in the second example 10000 LU = 10 mm.
