Dear TIA V13 Experts,

I'm participating in a project where we have to program several 1500PLC's (19). They all will use the same Lib/structure but will have completely different functionality.

We are looking for a way to Export/import FC's and FB's (FBD) to a source code as for example SCL.Using the Input from Eplan I see an way to modify the source code by using scripting (outside Siemens). After modification of the source we would import the code back in to TIA.

I truly think this must be possible (in Step 7 ist was), however untill now i didn't find the way to do it.The function "Generating source from blocks" is only working when you have an SCL code already or for a data Block.

Eventualy the modifyed source should give me the generated error free basic structure of (Mode, valve, Pump's, sensor, Fan, Robot) before starting with the integration of the logic.

Thanks for your reply.

I think however that my questions is different than the one you mentioned. I want to Export an FC/FB (written in FDB) out of TIA V13 in a flat file, modify it and then Import it back in to TIA V13. Conversion form an older version is not really helping me.

We are indeed getting closer, Thx. The one thing whitch is now missing, is how to export (in TIA V13) a FB/FC written in FBD. When I do a right mouse click and choose for "Generate Source from Block",I always get the message "Please select a block which contains exclusively SCL and is not Know-How Protected". See the attatchment.

After that I should be able to start the test.

Dear Smiffy,

I created an FC Block_1 (FC1), created two simple networks and saved it (see attachment). Now I’m trying to export it.As you can see in the attachment enclosed, I cannot select "copy as text". Only the blocks where "Generate Source from Blocks" is working, (a DB for example) there I have the possibility to select "Copy as text".

What am I doing wrong?
