F082 faults on masterdrives CUCV

Shivaji Patil Posts: 140 Rating: (1)	Dear Experts, I have studied all threads regarding this fault and tried to rectify the fault. We have S7300 CPU communicating to 7 Masterdrives and other 6 DP stations. Problem comes sproadically all drives show F082 and all remaining stations are healthy and CPU donot say Bus fault.!!!. and remains in run mode. This fault comes irregularly sometimes after a week and some times 3-4 times a day. I checked Bus cabling ,schield etc. It is fine. It is old syetm working last 10 years without trouble. but now some thing goes wrong !!! For me it is not clear whether Communication is interrrupted by CPU because of Some software or Profibus Hardware and why the drives have communication fault and not the other DP stations? Please suggest,

Please suggest, Hi, can you descibe your network, or can you attach an overview. For example, what is the order of nodes from the CPU - are the drives last in the bus chain. Has anything changed recently, i.e. new nodes, replacement cards. Do you have access to someone with Profi-trace diagnostics to analyse the DP network. F082 means one of two things: No new setpoint telegram is seen by the drive, or the CPU is not sending a new setpoint telegram. I would not expect to see a CPU Bus fault with this fault. As a temporary measure, you can increase the telegram OFF time in P722 (i.e. a timer that measures how long since the last valid telegram was received), but this could be dangerous depending on your process/machine. It is strange that all of the drives are faulting, do you have any peer-to-peer communications between the drives, or maybe a setpoint cascading between drives? Other than that, you could try replacing a single CB card with a new card (This may involve a hardware config change if the old CB card was an earlier version i.e. CB1) - I would choose the one closest (network) to the PLC Regards, Graeme

Shivaji Patil Posts: 140 Rating: (1)	Dear Sir, Thanks for reply. I will explain profibus network as follows. CPU 317 with ET200L sations and Siemens masterdrives 7 Nos CUVC and 4 Nos MC drives. Profibus starts from the CPU and goes over master drives CUVC 7 Nos and then MC drives 4 Nos and then it goes over the remaining ET200L stations. Today we have the same fault again and I checked inthe CPU diagnostics buffer and all drives aswell. All drives fault buffer says First fault Cb/TB telegramm failure F082 and second fault Udc<min F008. I tried to study the CPU Error log but didnot find any specific station failure. It shows almost all stations failure. Please find attached error log from CPU. But surprisinly every thing is normal.Only drives need reset the Fault. Request to suggest further. Shivaji Patil Posts: 140 Rating: (1)	Dear Experts, Further I have checked the ProfiBus with AmproAnalyser V3.2 and recoreded bus status. It shows drives missing Messages and randomally. I ckecke the Bus cabling again and changed one CBP on first drive as suggested by you. The bus resistance is 101 ohm. Attached please find Ampro Record for your refrence. I really do not Understand why the drives are missing telegram from the CPU. Futher I have changed the CB/TB Alarm delay P722default 10 ms changed to 20msec. Since the drives are in multidrive system running a production line cannot take risk to increase further delay!!! Request to suggest further. Attachment Records2.zip (497 Downloads)

Last 15 days No F082 !!!.otherwise I was dreaming of this F082! Thanks once again.
