Hello, Is there a way to import new fonts into WinCC for display on HMI screens? Right now it looks like my only font choices are Tahoma and Courier New.... Thanks |

Hello pctguy, You can do this under the point "Runtime settings --> Language & font". Which panel do you use? Tweety |

Thankyou, Tweety, I found it. It looks like I can only configure two additional fonts beyond Tahoma and Courier New. Does that sound right? Is there a way to import a specific font?
I am currently using a TP900 Comfort panel. |

Hello pctguy, Yes you can configure two additional fonts beyond Tahoma and Courier New. You can choose an additional font in the list. See the screenshot. You find in this list the fonts from your operatingsystem. You need another font, you install this font under your operating system. Tweety |

I found that it isn't enough to select new fonts under "Runtime settings"--"Language & fonts" in the TIA portal (I use V12), you must also make sure that the very same fonts are available on the target HMI. In my case I use a TP700 Comfort Panel, which runs on Windows CE. So the trick is to also get the proper fonts installed in Windows CE. You can do this by placing a font file on a USB stick, plugging it into your Comfort panel, and then copying them into the \Windows\Fonts directory. Tap on the "My computer" icon to see and copy/paste files and folders. If you need more instructions, you can search the web for "Windows CE font install". |

One more thing: Files placed on the Comfort Panel don't "stick". They will be forgotten after a hard reset. Go to Control Panel - OP - Save Files to make the font files permanent. |
