Hardware you have--Power supply module, double axis power section(drive module)--such as 2x25A. 6SN1118-1NH01-0AA1--control board , one servo motor, such as 1FT6044-1AF71-4AG1, encoder cable and motor power cable. Software you have--SIMOCOM U Task for you--full test 611U control card. ! reminder--this control card is an double axis control , you need test (make motor running) for both A drive and B drive. PS: this year in the September will be my 25th year-using Siemens SIMODRIVE 611 system. in the systems of 611A, 611D and 611U--the most I like is 611U, you will know why when I release my answer. you can also vote here you option which 611 system you like most. I will be waiting for another couple of weeks to see if there are more . You know I have been worked for Siemens Industrial Automation for more than 20 years (Former employee). I have more than thousands cases for CNC and drives. For this topic the idea is 100% from me--Siemens officially will not do like this. I am looking for if there is 2nd person has same idea like I have. This case is only for test purpose --But if you know it, that means you know 100% of 611U function, and will benefit for you in the real trouble shooting or project. denzilg_sa Hi nulizhang Great question, would be great if you post the know how! Hi, Friends, after almost 3 years, please allow me to re-new this topic--why as I recently use this idea testing 2 of 611U encoder feedback control cards --full tested--for my customer, which will full support their project giving them more confidence I really like 611U--I want to say it is one of the most successful systems in Siemens drive history If you like me to release the answer for this quiz --please showing your ideas or interesting for this topic. If there are more than 3 users showing they are interested in the topic, I will release my solution **But attention--The 3 users, I will set some condition --Sorry I do not mean the 100% new user, you need at least know SIMODRIVE 611U ( HAVE READ THE MANUAL, best have tested or set up real or bench test with motor) So when you post your idea how to do it--I will count you are one of three,BUT BUT If you only post here you are interested in topic , please make notes what is your level about 611U---use number 1,2,3,.....,10. for instance , i have level 9.5 for 611U I need at least 3 users who are more than level 5 one tips for the answer--one of functions for SIMODRIVE 611U--it can control type of induction motor or 3rd party motors, with or w/o feedback. The key point of this tip--is the advantage of 611U--why "U" --it is universal--it can control digital and analogue setpoint, it can control servo motor and normal AC motor, it can accept with feedback or without feedback From my point of view 611U is one of very successful products in Siemens drive system MrPiNG Im burning servo cards every now and then, Im interested :)

nulizhang Platinum Expert Joined: 10/17/2007 Last visit: 12/23/2025 Posts: 4566 Rating: (416)	I need update requirements of this Challenger , add condition " making system running with servo motor without any alarm or Error" I will show why I need add this condition at the end of today's post Some tips and benefits you can get from this challenger/discussion: #1--I said this topic is not for beginner , IT IS for the people who already know the basic of 611U #2--SIMODRIVE 611U have 2 type of control cards , which defined by what kind of feedback a)--resolve feedback,6SN1118- xNJxx- for single axis: 6SN1118-xNKxx- for double axis b)--encoder feedback 6SN1118-xNHxx-, ALL encoder feedback cards are double axis control #3--one of The benefit to know this challenge --you will have ability to use 2nd axis control and 2nd drive part (power section ) to run the system if your system has been used only one axis (for this double axis drive), and the 1st part of drive or control card defective Now I give the reason why I update the condition--Today I have a discussion related to this challenge , one guy showed his solution basically good, but he made servo motor running on B side control and drive, but with A side drive alarm. So we know one of 2 axis 611U double axis control system can run good with another axis error (red LED on or red color alarm on set up software screen Hope those information can help more users to understand 611U
