s_vb Posts: 257 Rating: (1)	Hello Everyone, I am using MD720-3 in my project for sending SMS. i want to check the delivery report status. How can that be done in program? I have got commands which I need to send. But how to use the result to show delivery report AT+CSMP=49,167,0,0 OK AT+CNMI=2,2,0,1,0 OK AT+CMGS="Mobile Number" > Message content (Ctrl+Z) +CMGS: 72 OK +CDS: 6,228,"Mobile Number",129,"08/10/22,10:08:35+32","09/10/22,10:08:38+32",0 +CMT: "Mobile Number",,"08/10/22,10:09:17+32" testing Please guide me. Rated X Posts: 1547 Rating: (129)	Hi, the Delivery Report is nothing more than an imcoming SMS, so it should not be hard to access it: The AT commands would be: AT+CNMI New SMS message indication AT+ CMGL List SMS messages from preferred storage AT+CMGR Read SMS message What PLC type is it? Maybe there are blocks for receiving SMS already.

This is how, I understand the Msg : ------------------------ AT+CSMP=49,167,0,0OK < Set Msg sending parameters> AT+CNMI=2,2,0,1,0 OK AT+CMGS="Mobile Number" > Message content (Ctrl+Z) < Send a Msg in Text Mode i.e. Send SMS > +CMGS: 72 OK < Successful Transmission> +CDS: 6,228,"Mobile Number",129,"08/10/22,10:08:35+32","09/10/22,10:08:38+32",0 < Messege was correctly delivered> +CMT: "Mobile Number",,"08/10/22,10:09:17+32" testing < New Msg Received> ----------------------- I would suggest that you download the AT command set manual of the Modem that you are using and check out the details of parious commands in the same. s_vb Posts: 257 Rating: (1)	Hi Rated X, I m using Allen Bradley ML1400 PLC. Also "AT+CNMI=2,2,0,1,0" is not working in Hyperterminal. It gives me error "+CMS ERROR: 500". Also how can I decode received texts in PLC. I am stuck at this code. I have sent SMS successfully. But receiving is problem. Thanks, Shailesh

s_vb Posts: 257 Rating: (1)	Hi Navnag, Yes, U r right, no doubt about that. But "AT+CNMI=2,2,0,1,0" command is not working from Hyper terminal. It keeps me giving error like "+CMS ERROR: 500".....!! Then it will not work from program also?? Thanks, Shailesh

Navnag Platinum Expert Joined: 11/21/2007 Last visit: 12/8/2025 Posts: 2326 Rating: (309)	Hi As I said before, please download the AT COmmand set manual of the Modem ( AT commands can vary slightly from one model to another ) Check out if the Modem being used by you supports this command and if so what is the correct format . Of course if it is not accepting any command on Hyperterminal, it will not accept from PLC also ( The Modem does not care whom it is communicating with ) Cheers Navnag
