I want to share a TIA Portal Project V16 to someone else, what do I have to do?

Is enough just the .ap16 file for the other person to see it properly? of do I have to also send the other folders that are with it, like "AdditionalFiles" "IM" "Logs" "System" and all of those?

All files and folders in the main folder where the AP16 file is, is considered to be the project.

The TIA Portal software offers the tool to "archive" the complete project to a ZAP16 file. Some one who receives the ZAP16 can then open the file through the software in the same way he/she would open a project. The external application 7Zip is able to unzip the ZAP16 archive.

It is not required to share the whole program if you are working in a team where different members work on different devices. There is the chance to create a device proxy. This is a topic for another time.

the best way is to send an archive file to your friend and he can then retrive it. like in the pic below
