Scott Jones, P.E. Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I am trying to install HSP HMI Comfort Panels, 1500. using the "Installation of support packages" feature. I checked the box. for the hardware I want to install. Selected the "Install" button. I got an error message: "To proceed with the installation, all instances of the TIA Portal must be closed. Please close all instances of TIA Portal. How do I find out what instances of TIA Portal are open that need to be closed?

In this case you close all the open windows of the TIA Portal except the Installation window. The "Continue" button is then enabled. Click "Continue" to start the installation

Thanks for the info, but I believe that I have all of the windows closed and still cannot install the support package. The message is "Close all instances of the TIA Portal" What is an instance of TIA Portal? I have all windows closed except the support package installation window. For me, it is generally closing the portal I am trying to update. If you look in your task manager, does the portal show as running? If so, you can switch to it, then close it.
