I have an issue with 808d advanced.  Setting the override key at 100%,  set rpm (say) 700, output rpm at HMI and actual RPM  do not match each other when spindle speed beyond 1000. It difficult to explain but I am trying.

With 1: 1 gear ratio spindle rpm and HMI output at 100% override key must same value. I am getting it only bellow 1000 rpm. But when I PUT 5000 AT MD 32260 then actual rpm at drive become double but at HMI not.

Any one have some suggestion for me??

What Spindle setup are you using, 1PH1? V70 Drive? - Or Analog Drive? 

Are you using an external encoder connected at a fixed ratio to the spindle, or is it only the motor encoder? 

You say that you have 1:1 gear ratio, is this machine with a gear box that has gear change or not?

Thank you for your reply and suggestion. I am using servo spindle from Siemens. I have no external encoder just I am using motor built in encoder [incremental 2500 ppr]

My system is not attached any machine, axes drives and spindle drive are connected only the CNC controller but I have a simulator [ 20 switch used for homing, and other input] which means all motor shafts are free and spindle is running with gear ratio can be considered mounted directly on the spindle. This is the very first time for me to commission SINUMARIK 808d advanced controller. 

Here is my spindle Motor specifications

1PH1103-1LD10-0GA0

Un=269, In=12.9 A, Pn=3.7 KW, Fn=36.9 Nn= 1000 rpm

Imax=25.8, Max (NM)=70 Nmax=6000 RPM

incremental 2500 ppr

Drive

Simanic V70 Spindle drive, Input= 3AC 380-480, 13.2 A 50/60 hz, Motor 3.7 Kw 1500 rpm

Please do not post the same question i many threads, it will not give you an answer faster :)

First off, if you spindle is directly mounted and your Override Key is at 100% and the HMI shows 100% - And you program S1000 but your spindle actual speed is only S700 then it is a simple matter of wrong gear ratio.

So you believe it is 1:1 but is it actually 1:1 in this case i doubt it.

First off check parameter MD 31050[0] and MD31060[0] - I believe these are a 1 and 1 - If not please change them to 1 and 1 noting down the old value

Mount a tool in the spindle, use a dial indicator and turn the tool so that the dial reads zero.

Go to the Service display note down the actual value of the Spindle Actual Value of the Measuring system.

Move up the Z axis, turn the tool 360 Degrees and note the actual moved value in the spindle actual value.

And move the Z axis down agian and move it untill Zero on the dial indicator

(I believe your building a mill, if it is a lathe please use the chuck as reference)

As an example, lets say your gear box is 3 to 1, turning the tool 360 degrees would result in a total of 1080 degrees on the motor.

Now take you value, in our example 1080 and devide by 360 which = 3

Then you know your gear box is 3 to 1 and has to change MD31050[0] and MD31060[0] accordingly.

From you earlier data i would believe your gear ratio to be 1,4285714 to 1 - But please verify.

Thank you for your suggestion, I am going to follow  your instruction.  

I do not have any machine body, just I was trying to commission the system. Motor shaft is not connected any gear box or spindle it is just a  motor.

Hello.

In that case did you choose the correct motor ID when setting up the drive??

Also please go to "Offset" - And the softkey "Sett. data" 

Here an override with a Min and Max speed of the spindle speed can be set.

This might be your problem
