I normally get this password prompt when connecting to a LOGO! on a different subnet other than the one that I am on when the Comfort software is run.

eg. these cases

1. Comfort software startup when I am on 192.168.1.XXX . Changed my computer's network connection to 192.168.2.XXX. Logo is connected to another subnet 192.168.2.XXX

2. Logo is connected to another subnet 192.168.2.XXX other than the subnet that the computer is on.

3. LOGO! is connected vie dynamic dns, not on the same network that the computer is on.

Seems like Comfort, when detected that the LOGO! is using another subnet, will try to communicate with the LOGO! vie port 8080 instead of the normally port. This will trigger it to keep prompting for password for every action/subaction.

Some changes to the Comfort software would be good. Enable user to key in the password once for each session and the Comfort software would remember and keep using the password for the reset of the session instead of prompting for each and every action/subactions.

A costumer was having the same problem and didn't find his sollution in this thread. 

He pointed out that his ethernet interface was not selected correctly.

So if you still have trouble, make sure you use the right interface.

I had exactly the same problem with Logo! Soft Comfort 8.2 abd Logo! 8.FS4 and I found a workarroud.

What I discovered is that it happens when I open first Logo! Soft Comfort 8.2 and the open my program from"open" and theh I do the transfer., it always ask me for a password and the transfer is slow.

But If I clic directly on my program wich then open Logo! Soft Comfort 8.2, the transfer is quick and it doen't ask me for a password.

So I do like that now and it's always OK, strange is everywhere ...

I just experienced the same issue when trying to transfert from PC to LOGO: very slow connection to PLC and strange password request even if never used. I have SC 8.2.1.

To solve the problem and like already stated in an earlier post, I had to close SoftComfort (SC), disconnect ("disable") my wifi adapter in Windows and leave only the ethernet port connected to the PLC active (all others "disabled"), start SC again and then it worked (= fast transfert from PC -> LOGO and no password asking).

For me I used to have password check only first few time of download/upload. But after if memorize or something going well, it never ask password more.

The strange problem for me is when I try to download program to Logo sometime it warn about I/O number in program not match the hardware config.... I do not understand but manage to download successfully. However the LOGO working not as expect. 

Then I try to delete program in LOGO and sometime doing factory reset to solve the problem to be OK finally.
