Micromaster Over Tempreture Fault

jeet2907 Posts: 235 Rating: (52)	Dear Expert, I have 132Kw Motor with 225A full load current,Micromaster with 132kw is use to run the motor,now When i run motor on NO load it takes 75A, And when it connected with compressore(ON LOAD) the current reached at 100-120A and Micromaster gives tripping with fault error F0004 (Inverter over tempreture).Now when i check the paramter r0037 its shows 39 degree. Henec i want to know that their should be a problem in Hardware? or something wrong in parameter side? Waiting for your reply

Waiting for your reply Hello, F0004 Inverter Over Temperature Cause - Ventilation inadequate - Ambient temperature is too high. - Actual drive converter temperature r0037 exceeds the overtemperature threshold (refer to P0292) Diagnosis & Remedy Check the following: - Fan must turn when inverter is running - Pulse frequency must be set to default value - Ambient temperature could be higher than specified for the inverter - Reduce the load and / or ensure adequate cooling Best regards...........

Are you sure? Normally for compressor application, current is almost equal to full load rating of motor (or even higher than that - i have seen this) Please check and confirm current - Check using clamp meter at output of drive - not input and also check in Parameter r027 Coming back to temp problem - I am sure you didn’t read manual completely Parameter r037 have several values – r0037[0] : Measured heat sink temperature r0037[1] : Chip temperature r0037[2] : Rectifier temperature r0037[3] : Inverter ambient temperature r0037[4] : Control board temperature Things to check Ø Drive Internal cooling fan is running Ø Its running in Right direction Ø Sometimes, I have seen that air flow path is blocked due to heavy dust, this can cause unnecessary heating in drives I hope this is genuine problem, and you will comeback with checks suggested Regards, Devesh Vithani
