Are there any kind of Modbus ASCII to Modbus RTU gateway to convert the signal from ascii to rtu so we can utilize the RTU board in the s7 1200 plc. |

Anybus (HMS) do one. It has an RTU interface on one side and a freely configurable serial interface on the other side. The freely configurable interface is configured using a easy to use configuration manager. http://www.anybus.com/products/products.asp?PID=317&ProductType=Anybus%20Communicator |

Hello S7-300 + CP341 also has an option of a loadable Modbus ASCII driver, but since you are planning to use S7-1200, IM151-8 should meet your needs. |
