Modbus TCP/IP CPU1512SP-1 PN with Smartlogger 3000

SamusEG Regular Member Joined: 9/12/2019 Last visit: 8/18/2025 Posts: 17 Rating: (0)	Hi all! I am trying to connect to Huawei Smartlogger 3000 and output data from it by using a PLC CPU 1512SP-1 PN. I am using the MB_Client function to get the data from the Huawei, which would be the server. When I can, I attach the server data, the Huawei 3000 Smartlogger because I don't know what's wrong. In theory, the errors it throws at me are STATUS#7001, and #80C5. I hope they come up with something. Thanks a lot, All the best. Attachment MbClientTiaPortal.png (1012 Downloads)

Cocolino Silver Member Joined: 4/8/2021 Last visit: 12/17/2025 Posts: 641 Rating: (114)	Hi SamusEG, To my knowledge 80C5 status code means that there is an error during the communication between server and client but it also can appear if MB_UNIT_ID (static parameter of MB_CLIENT instance DB) is wrong. By default it's value is 255 but some MB servers needs a specific ID. Check if it is your case or change it directly to 1 and the check the communication. Also i have noticed that you are using a clock mark as REQ trigger. I think that this is not the best way to start MB_Client request. If a request is still in progress and you trigger a new REQ, unexpected behaviour may ocurr. Hope it helps. Br, Cocolino

If I make changes to the parameters of MB_DATA_ADDR or in MB_DATA_PTR, The status it gives me is 7004 and 8200. In case it tells you something. People who set it to TRUE all the time... I think I saw this solution too. But it keeps giving me the same error. 80C8, more than 7006 continuous with BUSY at 1... Any idea or suggestion that comes to mind? Because it is impossible that in a function in which I have done so many tests I have not already hit on a correct combination. At the end of the day they are just setting parameters. It is a function that I did not program, but that I program siemens xD Thanks a lot, All the best. The MB-Client block has problems to receive the data. 7006 means it is about to receicve, 80C8 means: No response of the server in the defined period. Check the connection to the Modbus server. This error is only reported on completion of the configured repeated attempts. If the "MB_CLIENT" instruction does not receive an answer with the originally transferred transaction ID (see static tag MB_TRANSACTION_ID) within the defined period, this error code is output. What happens when you try to access an other address? regards,

I was only able to read the modbus tcp/ip function with the siemens mode 103 .
