Hello, I'm using TIA Portal V14 and trying to test some new features with the PLCSim. Currently testing the Data Block Functions (CREATE_DB, DELETE_DB, ATTR_DB, ...)

I have tried using a 1214C, a 1215C and a 1217C CPU, all of them with Firmware 4.2, which is the requirement for these new functions.

The problem is: The RET_VAL of the functions are not as expected.

I'm trying to create a DB, and using the range that is specified on the Information System as LOW_LIMIT >= 60000 and HIGH_LIMIT <= 60999. I keep getting an error (16#80A1).

And for the function DELETE_DB I have tried using a DB_Nr on this range and get the same error (16#80A1), so I tried to create a different error by creating a DB(#5) and trying to delete it, so:

The RET_VAL kept 16#80A1 on the DELETE_DB.

By setting and odd number on the COUNT of the CREATE_DB I managed to reproduce the error 16#80A2:

So, that's a problem with the PLCSim? Or something else?

better you post your code example which you use then we can better analyze wher the error can be found.

 The RetVal for the ATTR_DB is corect (16#80B1 = The DB with the specified number does not exist on the CPU.)

But the RetVal for the CREATE_DB is a litle odd.

First thing is you Limit, can the S7-1200 DB Numbers in this range (59999 was the highest number for Global DB)?

When creating DBs and numbering them manually it only allows up to 59999. I believe since the Information System demands you to use LOW_LIMIT >= 60000 and HIGH_LIMIT <= 60999, that these range of DBs are for the dynamically created. Also, the DELETE_DB instruction can only be used on DBs that were created with the CREATE_DB function.

Has anyone experienced this issue? 

Could someone with V14 test this matter and report the results?   in advance.

If it's a problem with the new versions of the software then I'll proceed this bug to the support.
