Hello Guys,

I have what will no doubt be an easy question to answer. But for me, looking at the Siemens help section on this didn't answer my question. All it tlaks about is if something is attached to the reset.

I have an S_ODT Timer set for 10s. What I want to know is if I attach no logic to the reset(R) of the timer, will it reset on the next negative to positive pulse of the input(S)? Or will it count from where it left off?

When there is no reset signal (R), a negative edge in trigger signal (S) will reset the internal timer associated to S_ODT timer.In case of next positive edge in trigger signal (S), timing is started from the beginning.See the attachment.
