Farlo Posts: 16 Rating: (4)	Hi, Just wondering if anyone has tried connecting Siemens S7-1200 to Wonderware InTouch SCADA. We desperately need to do this but looks like it may not be possible. Any ideas? Martin

Farlo Posts: 16 Rating: (4)	Thanks Robster, I actually cracked it out this morning. You are correct. I used the same DASSIDirect driver for the S7-300 and set the Remote Rack and Slot to 0 and a default connection resourse of 3. Works very well. Regards Martin.

I am waiting for Wonderware to confirm if their S7SIMATIC DA Server & CP5613 card will work. Is this something you looked into? Presumably your S7-1200 is fitted with a CSM1277 module? Richard

Farlo Posts: 16 Rating: (4)	Hi RichG, Dont bother waiting to here back from Wonderware. They will probably give the official line that it is not supported but it does work. The Wonderware DASSIDirect I/O driver works very well with the S7-1200. Just treat it asyou would aS7-300 with a rack and slot of 0. Use all the same adress item names as you would with a 300. Yes we included a CSM-1277. All working well now. Best of luck. Regards Martin.

The FAQ Flexible Decoding and Processing of Data Matrix Codes with S7-1200http://support.automation.siemens.com/BR/view/en/40603943 shows how PC Access could also be used. Despite of not 100% homologate, they work with some restrictions. The tip is to program a S7-300/400 connection and gives rack=0 and slot=1.
