Hi there,

The original S7-200 has been "replaced" by the S7-1200. The S7-1200 can be programmed under Step7 (TIA Portal). For a new installation, I would suggest you use the S7-1200. The BASIC licensing will do when only using Step7 (TIA Portal) for S7-1200s. PROFESSIONAL licensing is required when working with S7-300 / S7-400 / S7-1500.

The WinCC portion of TIA Portal (..the conference where this question was asked) will allow you to configure various panel HMI and SCADA - depending on your licensing. As an example the KTP600 Basci Colour DP panel does allow you to link to an S7-200.

I agree with our expert Ayman, you can't work with S7 200 and TIA Portal
