Hello,

do you have a Siemens MMC USB Prommer or SIEMENS PG with MMC Card Reader?
This type of card can't be used with a normal MMC Card Reader, this Card is not displayed in Windows Explorer.

Or do you would download to a card which is plugged in a PLC and download the Program to the PLC Card?

the card was formatted with 3rd party software, so i bought a new card and downloaded the program the same way as you guys explained.

This type of card can't be used with a normal MMC Card Reader, this Card is not displayed in Windows Explorer. 

Windows Explorer will immediately report the card as Not Formatted and ask you to format the MMC card.

Please never Format a SIMATIC MMC card in Windows otherwise it cannot be used again in SIMATIC environment.

 Normally, you shouldn't format SIMATIC memory cards using standard card readers.

For S7-300 MMC, When formatting, You won't be able to use it again.

How do you format or reset an MMC (Micro Memory Card) for SIMATIC S7-300 CPUs?

For S7-1200/1500, there ia a way.
