Step 7 and VMware workstation

thefro Posts: 55 Rating: (1)	Hello, I am running step 7 on a virtual machine (VMware) and I am attempting to establish a connection (Network) to the 315PN - DP CPU with no luck, cannot even ping the CPU from the vm.I can ping the cpu from the host. Are there any specific network settings that areneeded to establish a connection to the 315PN cpu in the vm area? Is Step 7 compatible with VMware 6.5? Are there any technotes on how to communicate to a 315 processor over ethernet in the vm environment? Thanks in advance Max

Thanks it depends on the interface of you PC you want to use. USB is principial possible. Serial interface not before VM-Ware Worstation v6.5. PCMCIA is not supported.
