TI520C Manual

I believe there may be a problem with the processor card; when I try to go online I get a timeout message. I was wondering if someone had a TI520C specific manual availble for downlowd, or any help at all. I am running TISoft on a Vista laptop with a usb to rs-232 adapter. I know it sounds horrible, but I was able to get a signal to another computer using hyperterminal, so it appears TISoft is at least sending a signal and the other computer can see the signal. I have a copy of the program I would like to put in the PLC, all I need to do is be able to communicate with it. Thanks in advance

TISOFT writes directly to the UART and I have not had any luck using USB to RS232 converters with DOS applications. I would try to confirm communications does not work with a PC with a RS232 serial port before I put a lot of effort into other solutions. I am assuming you have double checkedPin-outs, cabling, and baud rate.

I also tried communicating with it from an old desktop with an RS-232 built in, running windows 98 and it still timed out. I am almost certain the cable is not the problem, but I will triple check that to be sure. The baud rates definately match (according to the dip swithces) but I have no idea what the Parity, Stop bits, or flow control of the serial port should be. I'll add some info that may be helpful...The processor battery went dead (I think) and the program was lost. When the processor is first turned on the only LED lit was Battery good(it was replaced). The PC Good, Run, and Prog Stat LEDS were all dark. After re-starting the unit with the battery removed The PC Good LED and the Batt Good LED are lit, the other two are still off. So, I have a few questions(other than the COM port questions, lol)...Is there something preventing communications from functioning (like part of the initialization process)? Is initialization complete? These are the questions I had hope to answer with a copy of the manual. Sorry to be so long winded...we did try for a few hours to get this thing running. I couldn't use my Vista laptop with the USB to RS-232 cable, it just wouldn't connect. I had to use an older laptop (no real surprise). [schnippschnapp] new question is splitted to Is there a list of EPROM part numbers that are compatable with the 520C somewhere?.
