TIA portal 13 freezes my PC

(few times a day) It happens just out of nowhere. Everything stops responding. My mouse wont move, no response on key combinations or what so ever. The screen wont change, it's just as if everything freezes. The only thing i can do is remove power from my system and reboot. When i check the windows logfile the only fault i see reported is that of Kernel power loss (due to me unplugging the power) Anyone else having these problems?

What is RAM Capacity? it should be 8 GB.

Kelu Posts: 88 Rating: (12)	Hello, I think it is not exactly the same problem but it is near... Sometimes I encounter a freeze of TIA V13 software when I am online with a CPU 1515. After I force exit the software I can't load something anymore in my CPU 1515. I have a message that say something like that: "Others users are connected online on the CPU". The only way I found to return back in a normal situation is reboot the CPU. I have the good system requirement. This problem is already notified to Siemens and we wait for an answer. Forcing the software to close, sometimes leave traces forcing you to log out of your Windows user before TIA opens again. Using a PC maintainance tool to clear errors in the registry file can help. Also having a memory garbage collector running in the background helps. Further consider to reduce the amount of memory resident programs and services. I regularly do PC maintainance and it reduced the amount of PC crashes that is not related to communications. Sorry -- I am not to tell you which software I use, as to avoid several unwarrant commentary. To be fair I will add that we do not use panels bigger than 10" and have not used the S7-1500 in a project yet. But the system crashes are far less since doing regular PC checks. Hope this is of value. w

I thought I was the only one having this issue, indeed sometimes logging out in windowsis the only option. Thanks for confirming that!

Siemens waited so long to support 64bit systems, and now they are actualy 'requiring' more then 3gig ram. So why release a 32bit version anyway?
