WinCC v7 and S5 Ethernet Layer 4

I configured S5 Transport(CP1413-1) in SIMATIC S5 ETHERNET LAYER 4 according to WinCC manual, my collegue configured CP1613 communication card, and we encountered following problem: Connection to S5 establishes, but drops after timeout specified in 'System parameters' of connection. I have similary problem with WinCC v7 and S5 Ethernet Layer 4! But I make a test project into WinCC v5 and WinCC v6.0 and the connection work proper! I not tested into WinCC 6.2 yet! Is possible like WinCC v7 to have problem with "chn" comunication driver? Thanks to all for any sugestion!

April Posts: 1776 Rating: (95)	Hi, S5 Ethernet layer 4 should work with WinCC V7. Have you checked the paraameters as writtenin the WinCC documentation. use channel diagnostic; see also the diagnostic file. Have a look in WinCC help chapter communication > Simatic S5 > S5 Ethernet layer 4 > Appendix

After discussions with "siemens support" solution is: - create the folder "Channels" on WinCC project; - copy the attashed file in this folder!!
