Can take a remote connection of IOT2040 from other network?

I have another clarification, can we take a remote connection of IOT2040 from other network?

For example my IOT2040 is in 192.168.2.103, but i want take the remote connection of it in 192.168.27.15.

Is it possible, kindly suggest me a solution

Split from Access IOT2040 without Putty.

The IOT2040 has two independet ethernet interfaces (eth0, eth1 = LAN X1 P1, LAN X2 P1). So it should be possible to configure your eth0 interface e.g. 192.168.2.103 and your eth1 interface for your ssh connection 192.168.27.15.

The config file (/etc/network/interfaces) could look like this:

auto eth0

iface eth0 inet static

    address 192.168.2.103

    netmask 255.255.255.0

auto eth1

iface eth1 inet static

    address 192.168.27.15

    netmask 255.255.0.0

There are a number of ways that I access the IOT2040.

• Accessing File Directory: FileZilla (https://filezilla-project.org/)
• Accessing via SSH: Putty (there are others, but putty is light weight and easy to use)
• Accessing via COM ports: Termite
  • The IOT2040 has a  serial communication port next to the sd-card that has 6 dupont cables. You can use a USB to Serial cable that you can buy for less than 8 US dollars. My recommendation is to make sure the USB2Serial cable you buy is compatible with your OS since some of the drivers for the cables work with only Windows 7 and down.

Those are my recommendations since I use those every day and they work extremely well for their above mentioned use-cases. Good luck!
