If I understand you correctly, you're basically saying we cannot read vacuum/suction (below 1000mbar/atmospheric pressure) using an absolute pressure transmitter? I have an absolute pressure transmitter Sitrans PDS 3 (connected via Profibus PA) with 250mbar range that my client purchased to measure a suction pressure of absolute vacuum 0 to 30mbar. We're currently having a problem on it's reading, local gauges are reading 30mbar, but my Sitrans PA is reading 500mbar (via PDM)! That which is above its 250mbar range, and so is also giving error. Is this because of wrong instrument? Do we need a guage pressure Sitrans? Is there a work around because purchasing another will take a lot of time..
